Sun July 21 Food Forest Tour @ The Farm, Byron Bay 2 to 4pm

$40.00

Explore and be inspired by our developing Food Forest at The Farm that we manage as a working market garden and a living classroom for hands-on training courses in Regenerative Farming for the last 6 years. Drawing on more than 20 years experience in Agroforestry, Permaculture, Agroecology and Syntropic Farming Systems our team have transformed over an acre of pasture into a diverse, intensively cropped Food Forest combining production of annual vegetables with long term fruit, nut and timber trees – to support human needs as well as those of the local wildlife – whilst supporting the overall function of the local ecosystem. We have a passion for growing seasonal foods of many cultures throughout the world and love to provide food for people of many cultural backgrounds and introduce people to new flavours they may not have experienced. Our system has proved remarkably resistant through drought and floods – continuing to provide consistent food production with growing resilience. Our vision is to continue to expand our area of production by using diverse food growing as means to regenerate forests.
